our planting process is totally natural .
A ,what is our fertilizer?
we make our own fertilizer with all the organic things, according to Japanese way, such as fish meal, crab meal. Etc. B ,how do we deal with weeds?
we use weed barrier fabric, no herbicide, no pesticide.
C ,PEST control ?
We use agricultural insect net , organic soap.
However, We have not organic certification yet.

Our high cost process
A, our muskmelon either are grown in green house, or in low tunnel ,because Japan muskmelon requires specific temperatures and watering situation. One of expensively expenditures
B, All the natural process. Rainwater irrigation.
C, Our melons are always grown in Japanese traditional way.
Such as, we put a special hat on each muskmelon, enchanting the appearance of their net like pattern, also a base holder, insulating the bottom of the melon from moisture. carefully pruning and all our fertilizer from fermentation of expensive organic materials (crab ,fish, molasses etc.)over long periods of time. All of these can only be done by hand and keep our melons attain the same quality as those in Japan.
To attain the same great quality as those in Japan, we grow our muskmelon in authentic Japanese techniques .As a believer in Japanese “Shiyokuninkishitsu” (Craftsman spirit), we pursue perfection in our growth operation: we monitor the growth of each melon every day and almost like raising them like our children!
how to judge the most appropriate time to eat Japanese style muskmelon? how to eat? how to preserve?

When stalk is thick and firm and color is green ,it is not best time to eat, you can place them in room temperature to ripen optimally.

When stalk start to dry out and colour start to change yellow ,texture is soft flesh and very juicy. slicing small pieces by knife.
When stalk is dry out to dead and color change pale yellow, texture will be more softer and watery ,but maximum juiciness and sweetness compared to previous state. scoop with spoon and eat as soon as possible or refrigerate them.
Refrigerating the melon 2-3 hours at 2-5 degrees before eating will make the taste stand out and provide just the right amount of coolness.
the most important of all indicators is the once the bottom of the melon is soft and you can eat it. before that ,please store it at room temperature .
What is the most delicious state of our muskmelons?
Angus orange muskmelon
This is the best state for eating our orange muskmelon. the softness and hardness of the melon are moderate. the color is deep orange. the taste is delicate and soft, and it has a special honey sweetness. If it is slag-like and the flesh and juice are separated , it is overripe, or if it is hard and there is no honey aroma or sweetness, it is not yet ripe.
Angus green muskmelon
This is the best state for eating our green muskmelon. the softness and hardness of the melon are moderate. the flesh of the melon is a little transparent and looks fresh and tender. If it is slag-like and the flesh and juice are separated , it is overripe, or if it is crispy and hard, it is not yet ripe.
